Day Trips and Safaris for Snorkelers to the Similan and Surin Islands.
Manta Point is the only Dive Center in Khao Lak that offers special designed boats and excursion itineraries dedicated to snorklers' needs. Until now skin divers were treated as second class customers on dive boats, barely catered to and classified as "non-divers".
Here at Manta Point Khao Lak we do it differently!
Similan Islands:
We offer day trips to the Similan Islands for skin divers and snorklers ONLY!
These are daily speedboat daytrips with max. 15 people on board:
- 4 different snorkel sites
- Thai beach buffet
- beach walks on island no. 4
in the so called "Honeymoon Bay".
All the daytrips include snorkel equipment as well
as the transfer service to and from Khao Lak.

guides on all our Similan Snorkel Trips.

Surin Islands:
Similar to the above described tour we offer a daytrip only for snorklers and
skin divers to the Surin islands.
Snorkeling at the Surin Islands
is a worldclass experience!
The fabulous, colorful and extending reefs can be found between 1,5 and 12 meters. The experience of this underwater ecosystem is therefore much more intense than at the Similan islands, where
the reef starts in a depth of 6 to 8 meters.

Also this excursion is a day trip by speedboat, with 4 different snorkel sites and a Thai buffet for lunch on one of the beaches of the Surin Islands.
The main difference is the 70 minute drive by minivan from Khao Lak to Kuraburi to shorten the sea travel. Pick up and drop off service from Khao Lak and snorkel equipment is included in the price.

For the time being snorkeling couples are well advised to undertake day trips to the Similan and Surin Islands.
If you are happy with camping you can enjoy a multiple day tour with accommodation in a good tent on the islands as well - some might even
prefer it this to sleeping on a boat.
